Quite a stretch, but then, Buick’s been around a long time!
Now, there are a couple of technical things that we want to mention here about Buick car key replacement. First, not all Buick models were produced in each of the model years shown above. So, what we’ll do next is give you a comprehensive list of Buick models and model years that we can help you with in a lost car keys no spare situation. And, second, there have been technological changes over the years that we want to make you aware of. Let’s tackle that one first, before we run down the model list. In times gone by car keys were pretty simple and straight forward devices that could sometimes even be “Cut” at a hardware store. But with the passage of time security concerns have driven technological advances and, though at Mile High Locksmith we can still usually make all of the old-style keys, since around 1996 car keys have become transponder or even “keyless” fobs that require locksmith key programming for replacement because each key device must be coded to “talk to” one, and only one, vehicle.

Buick Key Replacement Price
Of course, you want to know how much to get a key made for your car which is why we wanted to make the distinction between old-fashioned keys, transponders and fobs. This is what dictates your individual Buick key replacement cost. What we’ve been calling an “Old-Fashioned” key will usually run you $90-$120.00 and we’ll usually have all the key blanks required and can get the “Cut” pattern from your VIN number. For a transponder, which might look somewhat old-fashioned to you but still needs to be coded to your car, you’ll pay around $149.00-$180.00. And for a fob, which are the ones with 3 electronic buttons and are the most advanced and expensive, you can expect to pay $180.00-$300.00, and one of these might cost even more. But Mile high Locksmith will get you best price possible and if you’ll give us a call at (720) 248-8087, we’ll get you an exact quote very quickly.
