What does rekey locks mean?
The meaning of re-keying a lock is to change the set of pins that are located in the lock core or cylinder. A good reason to re-key your locks is to cancel the old key and make a new key to the lock.
Who can rekey locks?
The easiest way to rekey your locks is by calling a local mobile locksmith. There are also other ways to get your locks re-keyed, such as:

Lowes will sell you a do it yourself “Rekey Kit”.

My 1992 Nissan maxima’s power door locks wont stay locked when i leave the car. I lock the doors then shut them and leave and within a couple minutes they unlock. The past few days my 1999 Dodge Caravan’s electric door locks have acted possessed. They’ve been locking and unlocking by themselves. For the short term I removed the fuse that controls the electric locks. Unfortunately my A/C now doesn’t work, the blinkers don’t work, and the ABS and Air Bag dummy lights are on. Where can I find information on how to get into the door panel and look for the wire that powers the actuators controlling the doors. (I’m assuming that disconnecting the wire in the driver’s door will cut power to the other doors as well.) That way I can put the fuse back and get all my other car components working again. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I checked the fuse for the doors it is okay.Is there a fuse box under the hood?
Every time I use my key remote, the automatic door locks unluck, and then lock two seconds later. I have to open the door quickly, or use the key manually to get in the door.
Even when I am inside, I hit the button on the door to let a friend in the passenger, and the same thing happens. I have to hold down the button or manually open the passenger side door.
Help! I have a 2002 Dodge Durango and all of a sudden the door locks started locking and unlocking on their own. This is driving me nuts! I have a 1993 Chevy C1500, and both the power door locks and power windows stop working from time to time. Is there some sort of GEM module that controls these things, or is something causing the relay to break contact?

The lock on the left front door is spoilt. If I change this lock, will I need a diffrent key for this particular door or do I need to change both locks? And will the central locking system still work, if only the one lock is changed?

There was not a deposit put down so I cannot use that to rekey the locks.
In the state of Texas if you are not a licensed locksmith, but you work for a company that offers rekeying can you do the following?
Rekey a lock to work with more than one key.
Rekey a lock someone brings in (does not buy new off the shelf).
Run into those questions fairly often, just want to know what I can and cannot do under the law, any more information would be good, plus sources are great.

They all have the same key! 3 deadbolts and 3 locks please help. And I mean to have a
